This yogurt cake is very easy to make, very quick and does not even require weighting the ingredients. This cake is a traditional dessert in Spain, made for breakfast or snacks, with a subtle flavour that you can customize by adding chocolate or fruit. Try this recipe and it will become your go-to cake!
2tbspcacao powder (unsweetened or sweetened)optional
Instructions
Place the wet ingredients (yogurt, eggs, oil and sugar) in a bowl. Mix well with a whisk or an immersion blender.
Add the flour and the baking powder and combine.
If you want, you can reserve a cup of the mixture and mix it with cacao powder (if you use unsweetened I recommend adding a little bit of sugar to it).
Brush a baking pan with butter and then dust it with flour to avoid the cake sticking to the pan.
Add the dough into the pan and if you also made some chocolate dough, add it on top and then swirl it around with a knife or chopstick.
Bake it in a preheated oven heat up and down at 180C/ 356F for 35-40 minutes. You can check if its done by doing the poke test (poke the cake with a knife or chopstick and if it comes clear then it is ready).
Notes
You can decorate it with powder sugar, fruit or chocolate to give it another touch!
